The LPS held a
STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETING
Friday, April 28, 2017

Here's what we wanted to define.

  • Which issues are a priority for LPS?

  • How can we impact the target issues effectively?

  • how to build and strengthen our political community
From the feedback, here's what we gleaned.

1. Health care is identified as a bottom line issue by all six groups but not always first. Climate change and voting rights/ redistricting are also high priority issues.

2. Going broader and harder using the Indivisible model seems to be the dominant strategy identified along with collaborating with like-minded groups

3. Participants recognize their substantial skills, networks, and energy. How that translates into time commitment is not clear at this point.

4. Participants want current, accurate information via email. Social media and the website are ancillary sources.
